This is an example script if you are needing to incorporate state names and abbreviations in your perl code.  Enjoy!

This article contains the prioritized checkpoints for WCAG compliance. Implementing these guidelines helps users with disabilities navigate your website.
Meeting these guidelines does not mean that you have fully met Section 508, however, they mean that you have come very close.  These guidelines are in English, as opposed to the legal gibberish of 508.  Even though most sites do not have to comply with Section 508, or these w3c guidelines, shouldn't yours?

This is a summary of what is contained in Section 508.

Section 508 requires various accommodations be made in web pages and software systems that the federal government acquires.  Many state and local governments also require compliance.  More importantly, many businesses use Section 508 as guidelines for their websites in order to make their websites accessible to the disabled.

How-to: Selling an Ebook

| | Comments (0)
In this article I will explain the steps you need to take to sell your ebook online!

Packaging the Ebook

The main formats are PDF, CHM, and Microsoft Word (.doc/.docx).  I would encourage you to rule out Microsoft Word as that format requires that your users have MS Word installed, and the same or better version.  CHM (Compiled HTML) is another Microsoft format that others may not be able to read.  It is actually the format used for the help system in Windows.  This leaves us with PDF, nearly everyone has Adobe Reader (a free download for just about every operating system), and the PDF format is stable, meaning that any PDF reader can open any PDF document.  So now that I have told you what format to use, what if your ebook is already in Microsoft Word, or another format?  The good news is that there are quite a few tools out there to convert documents to PDF, and all without losing formatting!  While I myself use OpenOffice which has a built-in Save As Pdf feature, as long as you are able to print your ebook, you can convert it to PDF using CutePDF Writer (free) or another similar product.

The bottom line: produce the materials in whatever format makes sense to you, but distribute with PDF!
